Lyrics
I can’t see what’s around the bend
Can it possibly be you, my friend?
The coarseness of time has thrown us apart
Now I take a breath, step into the dark
My excursion of faith, a journey into the heart
Maybe that shine is beyond a simple gloss, or maybe not
And maybe again one day our paths will cross
Angels converse in some language we can’t know
So is it possible for discernment to grow?
As we acknowledge the agony of a terrible lot
To find the courage to face this chill alone
While the sorrow bleeds right to the bone
In the course of memories that I haven’t forgot
Maybe there’s a lesson in those wishes unfulfilled
And maybe we’ll resign with our hearts perpetually chilled
Maybe the storm moved in a bit too fast
But this shouldn’t last, how long will it last?
Maybe the sun won’t shine upon those who are lost
Or maybe the virtue was too high a cost,
A stable stone with a coat of moss
I’ll hold my breath while my coin is tossed
That maybe again one day our paths will cross
Perhaps someday our paths will cross
I have trouble seeing beyond the bend
May I count on your new wisdom, my friend?
The tragedy of this terrible lot
The memories that I never forgot
Can not, may not, will not, may not, can not, will not, may not
