Do you consume every bit of the product?
Or save the best morsels for last
Take your face, relocate it to a shady place
A dim hallway full of faces from the past
She’s so sweet and nice
But she won’t accept my warmth
Into her house of ice
And I really wish I was good looking
I really wish that I was good looking
I don’t leave things to fate
Nor dig my heels into sewer grates
And I no longer worship famous rock bands
Within the heat of fate
I do tend to overcompensate
And sail my ship towards the promise of distant lands
But who gets to choose
If they are born to dance or to sing the blues
And I really wish I was good looking
I really wish that I was good looking
Sound, the magical aqueduct of sound
The ancient sweet music that resounds
With the promise of Heaven afterlife
Life is a very long journey marked with strife
No true destiny without a wife
Nothing to share without a care,
Without a dare, there ain’t a prayer
She’s so swift and bright
With the power to illuminate
The darkest of nights
But she doesn’t know exactly who I am
And she can’t relate to me as just a man
I stroll outside her gates
And try to contemplate my wretched fate
Which I will never, never, never, never
Never, never, never, understand
No, I will never truly understand
No, I will never truly understand
